There is a big GAP between food supplements, cosmetics and pharmaceutical products. According to EFSA 80% of Food supplements on the market are misleading. The cosmetic industry has made up the cosmeceutical category of products which has no legal status. In addition a growing public majority is against the use of antibiotics or medicines to treat simple diseases. There were no alternative treatments available on the market to fulfill the public need.
